MY STORY

I grew up in Dublin, in a family of five. My parents always encouraged our artistic and creative side but most of all they encouraged us to be happy in what we do and appreciative of our life. Growing up I loved all sorts of crafts and I made copper wire jewellery in the loft in my Grandad's house. In 3rd year in school my then Art teacher did a course in jewellery making, I was so interested in what she was making that she allowed me make a ring under her supervision, that was it I was hooked.

I later apprenticed for a leading Irish jewellery designer learning and honing my skills. After a few years of in house training I left to fly alone and set up my jewellery business "Yvonne Ryan Jewellery" . No day is ever the same and I am very appreciative to all the people who support me and make it possible for me to continue in creating my jewellery.

Uniqueness and design are essential in the making of every piece of Yvonne Ryan jewellery. Each piece is made using a combination of traditional bench techniques and modern design. The designs are heavily influenced by Vintage finds and texture, with my signature geometric print and rope chain texture running through many of the collections.

With a Masters in Sustainability Development - sustainability plays an integral part in shaping how my business operates. All my jewellery is carefully designed and lovingly made by hand using 100% recycled gold and Eco silver where possible, we hope to use fully recycled silver across all our designs by the end of 2022. Materials are sourced from suppliers registered with the "Responsible Jewellery Council" RJC. Marketing and packaging materials are ethical sourced made from 40% - 100% recycled boxboard and are fully recyclable. I am committed to continue to look at ways to increase my sustainability as we grow and develop over the next years of business.
